Privacy Policy
Skillet keeps your recipes on your phone. It has no account, no ads, no analytics and no server, and it doesn't collect, sell or share your personal information.
What Skillet stores
Everything you put into Skillet (recipes, ingredients, method steps, categories, notes, favourites, and your settings) is saved in the app's private storage on your device. It is not sent to the developer or to anyone else.
Photos
When you add a photo to a recipe, you choose it with your phone's own photo picker. Skillet only receives the photos you pick, and copies them into its private storage on your device. It does not look through your photo library and never uploads your photos.
When information leaves your phone
Only when you choose to send it:
- Sharing a recipe creates a PDF and opens your phone's share menu. The PDF goes wherever you send it (for example email or a messaging app), under that service's own privacy policy.
- Exporting a backup creates a file with your recipes and photos and opens the share menu, so you can save it where you like.
- Device backups: if you have turned on your phone's own backup (Android backup to Google, or iCloud Backup), your operating system may include Skillet's data in that backup. It is handled by Google or Apple under their policies and your settings.
Permissions
Skillet doesn't ask for access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone or whole photo library. Photos come through the system photo picker, which shares only the picture you select.
Children
Skillet is a general-audience recipe app and is not directed at children under 13. Because it collects no personal information, it collects none from children.
Deleting your data
You can delete any recipe in the app. Uninstalling Skillet removes all of its data from your device, apart from any backup files you exported or device backups you made yourself.
This website
This site uses no cookies, analytics or third-party scripts, and its fonts are served from this site rather than an outside service. The web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and reliability.
Changes to this policy
If Skillet's handling of information ever changes, this page will be updated and the effective date above will change.
